This is a recording of me opening my flashlight, taking out the battery and putting it back in and closing the flashlight again. It's been a while since i uploaded anything, and i know how common flashlights are in video games so i thought why not.

Several different screams that can be used for monsters/monster sound effects. I recorded these with my voice and a neumann tlm 102, and processed them heavily. There is a bit of reverb/space to give them depth.

This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great, i think it's just passable though. Garden shovel clanging as it is struck. I needed the sound of someone getting hit over the head with a shovel for a theatrical production [ fuddy meers ]. I recorded my garden shovel as i struck it with my shoe; quite effective.

Recording of knocking on three kinds of glass for effect of tapping on window (recorded as foley for characters tapping on viewer's screen from the inside). First is damped thick glass, second is undamped thick glass, third is double-glazed window pane. Knocks separated to allow reverb and dynamics to damp down between them, background noise lightly cleaned.

A rifle being dropped on the floor 3 times. Very metallic-y sounding drop sound with tons of bass. This one was sort of a happy accident. I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. I actually really like how this turned out. Crediting me isn't required if you decide to use my sound, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do!.

Rain: the sound was created through foley. It is the very prominent pitter-patter part of rain. It is clear and very sharp. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a sound studio. This is useful when you just want the sound of rain droplets unaccompanied by wind or other elements usually associated with rain.

After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of one of the internal draws. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

This is a recording of a vitamin c tablet dissolving in a cup of water. Recorded with an edirol r-o9 and a nice hydrophone. By lifting the hydrophone in and out of the water some very nice filtering effects where created. This sound has many applications for sound design!.

A handful of spaghetti cracked into half. I don't know how to use this but often an injury in film foley is just breaking a celery or something else. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. I accidentally sneezed while testing audio levels but it happened to be self-contained with the right volume for an isolated sound effect! recorded on my new blue yeti nano with noise reduction applied. I wasn't really prepared when it happened so there might be some minor clicking/noise and i couldn't really remove it. Based upon "beep. Wav" by bsumusictech. Background noise removed, normalized to zero, clip includes just the beep, and a light reverb applied to keep it from sounding too harsh. Perfect as a foley for a scene with someone scanning items over a scanner at the cash register. Thanks to bsumusictech for the original recording.

Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.

This sound is the sound of the door to my bathroom closing from the outside. To record this i used my sontronics stc-10 microphone, my audiobox interface and pro tools on my mac at 48khz, 24 bit. I recorded this sound to be used as foley for a door closing off screen in a student film. I uploaded as i thought it might come in useful to others.

Finally, a month after i needed it for my last film, i got really good foley of a spectacular thunderstorm. Here's 10 min of the best part. I can't use it right now, but maybe others can. It contains steady, heavy rain with peals of thunder at various distances.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully attempt not to turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. Of course, if you don't want binaural audio you can always easily convert to mono. This is a recording of me approaching a soda machine in my apartment complex, swiping my credit card in the new, handy-dandy credit card slot, and dispensing a coke zero (in case you really needed to know).
